This Opportunity

WSP is looking for a Vice President, Environmental Geologist for our Site Investigation & Remediation (SIR) team in Creve Coeur, Missouri, with experience in consulting, selling, managing, designing and implementing Environmental Multi-media Remediation programs for a variety of clients in the Industrial, Mining, Energy, Oil & Gas and Transportation sectors. We are looking for a candidate who is excited and motivated about the opportunity to help support and expand our environmental consulting business in Missouri. WSP’s Missouri SIR team provide a broad range of services in engineering and environmental sciences including environmental assessment/site investigation and remediation, environmental compliance, soil/ groundwater/ air quality investigations and monitoring, EHS Compliance and management system audits, geotechnical investigations, and due diligence.

Your Impact

  • Perform Business Development within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial Sectors for environmental remediation, geologic investigations and related services
  • Perform design, oversight, mentorship and direct the efforts of staff- and project-level engineers
  • Lead or provide quality review/oversight in preparation of technical reports and proposals
  • Successfully interact with operational leadership, other Principal and Senior-level employees in the office, region, and firm-wide
  • Manage multiple projects, being responsible for ensuring that deliverables, schedules and budgets are achieved
  • Travel to project(s) as needed, for the execution of project goals and business development
  • Make significant contribution to meeting key performance indicators for P&L center

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Geology, Earth Sciences or related science field
  • 20+ years related environmental remediation and sales experience
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be a self-starter, team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working with remediation/assessment projects involving the regional federal, state and local regulatory agencies
  • Ability to work with, mentor, and direct staff
  • Oversee remedy construction and operation and maintenance of environmental project work
  • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (Motor Vehicle Safety) policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Geology or related science field
  • Missouri and/or Illinois Professional Geologist’s License
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
