What you’ll be doing...
As an Automation Engineer (API and UI), you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our development and testing processes. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for both API and UI components of our applications. Working closely with our development and QA teams, you will identify opportunities for automation, implement efficient testing strategies, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our software products.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API and UI testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, create test plans, and execute test cases.
- Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes.
- Analyze test results and work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in automation testing, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of software quality by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
What we are looking for…
You will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Proven experience in automation testing, with a focus on API and UI testing.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Proficiency in RESTful API testing and understanding of API technologies (e.g., JSON, XML, HTTP).
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
