Located in both field and operations support center locations, you’ll be performing complex technical duties including performing remote installation and maintenance of customer and network telecommunications circuits and coordinating with various internal and external organizations to provide quality products and services to our Verizon Business customers.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Installing, monitoring, commissioning, testing and maintaining of telecommunications and associated electronic equipment and wiring in both technical facilities as well as on customer property.
Performing highly complex technical duties and resolving difficult technical problems.
Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining fiber optic and Ethernet transmission equipment.
Maintaining new and existing circuits through troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques.
Coordinating the testing and turn-up of services with all involved providers.
Performing fiber locates, monitoring of construction activity, fiber splicing and termination.
Climbing ladders, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, distinguishing audio tones, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

You know telecommunications technology and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work on Verizon’s network. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You know that the whole team needs to work together to win—and you take pride in a job well done.
You’ll need to have:
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Even better if you have:
Associate degree or certification in electronics and 7+ years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience testing, turning up and installing telecommunications equipment.
