What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a dynamic and talented leader for managing and leading the SOE platform which will be a single automated cloud platform for multiple technology and product teams across TPD.. SOE Cloud platform will enable autonomy and reduce time to market by enabling service catalog for developer to build infrastructure and deploy code and impose security at first by embedding security best practices and governance in Platform & PipelinesOne of the top goal is to have scalable and reliable workload and infrastructure management and deployment along with self recovery of infrastructure failures.

• Leading a development team of high performing individuals.

• Performing the Performance management, Motivate and elevate the team's results.

• Guiding and coaching the team catering to individual career aspirations and setting measurable goals for them.

• Understanding the big picture and connecting the dots for the team members creatively.

• Grooming the team members on their growth path & ensuring the constant learning and knowledge growth in the team

• Leading employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.

• Performing risk analysis, impact analysis and deviation, if any and address gaps if any to ensure delivery of quality code.

• Defining & implementing process improvements and empowering the team to reach higher goals

• Working with distributed development teams globally and maintaining a traceability matrix.

• Delegating responsibilities and decisions to help empower people and teams.

• Working closely with external teams to define release content and ensure growth of the platform to meet competitive demands.

• Leading and mentoring engineering web and application programming interface teams through software platform releases, ensuring products are on spec, architecturally sound, and delivered on time.

• Supporting customers with major platform issues and coordinating triage efforts to solve them.

• Documenting and maintaining architectural guidance to ensure performance and scalability of the platform.

• Adhering to industry standards and best practices and understanding emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application, infrastructure, and processes.

• Facilitating continuous testing and quality assurance practices to maintain high standards of software delivery.

• Championing a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and implementing feedback loops in development processes.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.

• Knowledge of Agile and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

• Experience on Cloud platform, AI, DevOps (e.g., AWS, Azure, DevSecops, Cloud Networking)

• Experience on handling large apps using Angular, Node Js, Java, DB etc.

• Experience in leading and engaging a team, mentoring others, and recruiting talent.

• Good understanding of Cloud platforms

• Experience in driving any org wide initiative

• Ability to foresee the work in the pipeline and optimize resource utilisation effectively.

• Ability to build SME knowledge in the team and set goals to the individual which will effectively utilize their individual skills.

• Experience in cross skilling team members

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A Masters degree.

• PMP Certified
