You are responsible for end-to-end delivery of recruitment activities for a specific functional business unit/s. Will be responsible for partnering with the senior leadership team and extended leadership/solution providers to provide a consultative and advisory aligned recruitment solution. The role will require you to manage, develop, review and support business staffing needs while creating and delivering the required talent acquisition strategies to successfully support the staffing needs of the business.

The role will entail you to be the SPOC for all the Hiring Manager’s across your respective clients and will be responsible for forging effective relationships with local and international business leaders and hiring managers. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of all requisitions/requests end-to-end, you will need to ensure that all requisitions (and projects) are managed within agreed delivery timelines (and within business process/procedure); this will include client customer meetings (consultative briefings), creating/advising and presenting resourcing strategies, interviewing/assessing all candidates before presenting for business consideration, advising on recruitment best practice, managing the offer and (supporting the) on-boarding process.

  • Engaging with an entire business unit; responsible for operational performance review, recruiting strategy implementation and ultimate delivery.

  • Recommending (and create) recruiting strategies surrounding diversity, education, college hiring and cross-functional talent and any additional, pertinent suggestions to improve overall Talent Acquisition effectiveness in support of business success.

  • Working closely with sourcers to execute innovative sourcing technique to attract the passive talent pool.

  • Meeting with management teams and develop adequate hiring objectives/strategies – both on active and forecasted requirements.

  • Partnering with the BU/HRBP on their workforce plan; ensuring resourcing plans are aligned, reviewing req demand to plan (report and present on a quarterly basis) and providing headcount attainment projections (actual Vs. WFP)

  • Implementing recruitment strategies to solidify Verizon’s commitment to acquire and develop a diverse workforce, including internal top talent mobility.

  • Executing, and support, full life cycle recruitment: sourcing through day 1 commencement.

  • Obtaining guidance from management and senior-level team members as necessary in order to provide strategic staffing support to assigned client base across the region; articulate a plan in writing, with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.

  • Working closely with the Talent Assessment team you will need to ensure you are addressing any skills/succession gaps (including regular reviews of gaps and aligning resourcing plans/actions to address)

  • Providing quantifiable reporting/analysis (with the support of a reporting analyst) across all key hiring metrics on a regular (monthly/quarterly/annual) basis; this will also include addressing any key opportunities (degree hires, TTF, diversity, comp ratios, locations analysis, CPH, performance attainment, talent management/performance ratings etc) – providing tangible and consultative insights into metrics/data.

  • Recommending ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing improved processes and standardizing processes for recruiting that fits within Verizon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.

  • Building network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating an ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios.

  • Ensuring that all candidates have completed the appropriate level of assessment; verbal interviewing and/or screening, technical, behavioral and/or (as required) psychometric.

  • Consistently maintaining your own personal network of pre-qualified profiles suitable for business review (‘Top5’ external profiles/talents).

  • Supporting the extended TA solution by attending career fairs and other community and/or professional recruitment events to identify talent.

  • Utilizing a variety of resources to source candidates including: job boards, cold calls, creative online searches, internal job posting site, and employee referral program.

  • Conducting telephone and in-person interviews to evaluate applicants and refer qualified candidates to the hiring manager.

  • Conferring with hiring manager to determine most qualified candidate; compile, negotiate, and extend offer to the selected individual.

  • Ensuring that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained; ensure that all phases of the employment process are in full, legal compliance.

  • Performing other duties as assigned and needed to support the goals of the local, and global, TA, HR and business priorities.

What we ‘re looking for…….

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to an expert level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience, hiring for product/services technology

  • Experience recruiting in Digital Native/Emerging technology skills.

  • Experience managing people/clients and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.

  • Leadership experience managing Junior recruiters, sourcers and coordinators.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Experience recruiting in a corporate and/or agency recruiting environment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have a working knowledge of recruiting policies and practices.

  • Ability to build relationships, recruit candidates, and influence selection decisions.

  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.

  • Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative virtual team.

  • Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships.

  • Possess strong analytical skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team.

  • Have a conscious cost-containment awareness, continually seek new sourcing strategies, and develop creative approaches to deliver the required talent to the business.

  • Strong negotiation skills.
