What you’ll be doing…

As a Sales Operations and Enablement - Senior Manager in Indirect Strategy & Operations, you'll be responsible for multiple projects tied to Indirect Agents at Verizon, including all aspects of operational and other performance management levers. This role is pivotal in supporting Verizon's Indirect Agent channel and Partner Channel sales teams. The Sales Operations and Enablement Manager will spearhead initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and overall channel performance. This includes project management, launch readiness strategies, channel roadmap development, and executive reporting. You will also create aggregated channel roadmaps; executive informs and provide weekly project status updates.

This role focuses on Principal Operations at the national level, collaborating with both internal and external teams to guarantee consistent sales enablement for the Indirect Channel. The optimal candidate should possess a profound understanding of sales organizations (particularly the Indirect Agent Channel), Verizon's value proposition, and diverse distribution channels. They will collaborate closely with Indirect Agents, resolving operational challenges that affect customer or agent experiences.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Engaging in high priority projects and partner with Strategy, System and Field operations leads to create & improve processes to align to process or project launches.

  • Leading project calls with stakeholders as needed to develop priority projects.

  • Having a sense of urgency on speed and accuracy while exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Supporting, aligning, and managing projects within the 2 year to last mile mark with channel expertise.

  • Providing weekly project status updates and ensuring accuracy and updated content.

  • Prioritizing and monitoring multiple projects that impact Indirect Channel performance and results.

  • Developing credibility as a strong business partner and building relationships with our Indirect Agents, key channel stakeholders and national peers.

  • Collaborating with partners from multiple functions to drive org-wide initiatives.

  • Creating presentations for senior management that provide key business insights, results, and business or project updates .

  • Creating and maintaining relationships, analyzing market trends, identifying improvement areas, driving new product sales, and providing ongoing support.

  • Providing solutions to operational challenges impacting customers or agents, working closely with Indirect Agents and Partner Channel Strategic Sales teams.

  • Leading initiatives to support priority launches within the Indirect Channel, including key iconic and holiday periods.

  • Performing analysis, providing recommendations, and acting as a trusted advisor to facilitate decision-making.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (VCG in office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

The preferred locations for this role are the Rolling Meadows IL and Basking Ridge NJ.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • One or more years of Project Management experience.

  • Experience working in or supporting any Consumer customer-facing channel, such as Indirect, Retail, Digital, Customer Service, or Inside Sales.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Green Belt/Black Belt or PMP certification.

  • High proficiency levels on MS Excel/ PowerPoint/Gsuite.

  • Experience with Verizon Agile Project Management Techniques

  • Ability to translate abstract problem statements into actionable projects.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in presenting information to small and large groups from front line to executive-level.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Experience presenting compelling business cases, business performance results, and recommendations.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $200,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
