What you’ll be doing...
As a Data Science Principal Engineer on the Consumer Digital Marketing and Base Management - Acquisition and Base Planning Team, you will be an individual contributor.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying and recommending acquisition, revenue, and retention opportunities within the Consumer base.
Working with a large dataset environment, solving complex technical problems with the assistance of other subject-matter specialists, and partnering with other teams to drive Verizon's initiatives.
Responsible for targets on improving various KPIs through personalized data driven recommendations.
Identifying business problems and developing analytic techniques to provide solutions to external teams.
Identifying opportunities, size potential gains, and present actionable plans.
Ability to segment the data, and create audiences for personalized targeting
Familiar with CPAR and similar techniques to analyze the data and drive creating audiences.
Driving multiple technical and data-related projects of varying scopes and complexities.
Working and collaborating with other teams within Verizon, executive and with vendors to represent the organization's strategy and performance.
Using data visualization and other data-gathering methods to either provide internal strategic direction or guide decisions for other teams.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in analytics, strategic marketing, planning, and financial analysis.
Experience with research, analytical, and critical thinking.
Experience and proficiency in SQL and working with large data sets.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with GCP and BigQuery.
Experience with Looker Reporting Tool in GCP.
Experience with data mining and visualization skills.
Experience with Data Warehousing and its data structure
Value Based Marketing / CRM experience.
Ability to create compelling narratives to influence decision makers.
Ability to build detailed and compelling financial business cases.
Presentation experience with executive leadership.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite.
Code automation platform experience (BTEQ).
Tableau Desktop experience.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $124,000.00 and $231,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
