What you'll be doing…

The Data Analytics Platform Development Associate Director is responsible for leading and managing the development of a data analytics platform for consumer products. This includes leading a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, implementing software, data engineering, and data science including deploying machine learning, and Gen AI applications supporting the Verizon Products analytics platform.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement the data analytics platform.

  • Working with product and business stakeholders, and executive leadership team to gather requirements and define the analytics roadmap.

  • Leading the team to deliver the roadmap on time, on target day-to-day operations, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and making improvements.

  • Collaborating with partner organizations to integrate the platform with other systems to enrich the data and provide holistic view and insights.

  • Staying current with the latest trends in data analytics and ensure that the platform is using the latest technologies.

  • Developing and implementing large data machine learning and GenAI models to predict customer behavior, network performance, and potential service issues.

  • Analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and customer behaviors that impact home networking performance and predict future outcomes.

  • Working with the team that consists of a mix of both onshore and offshore resources.

What we're looking for…

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Years of progressive experience in data science, data analysis, machine learning, and statistics.

  • Exposure to natural language processing (NLP), image processing techniques, and big data stacks like Hadoop or Apache Spark is highly desirable.

  • Strong programming skills in programming languages such as Python, or Java.

  • Experience with big data technologies and data analysis software like R or MATLAB.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or similar cloud technologies.

  • Expertise in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series analysis.

  • Experience with the popular machine learning and GenAI platforms and models including AutoML solutions such as Amazon SageMaker and Bedrock, Gemini, GPT4, DataRobot, and H2O.

  • Experience with data warehousing, data processing, and mining tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of data professionals.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A postgraduate degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field is highly desired.

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions for business.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
