What you’ll be doing...
Your role will be to work on meaningful business development and M&A activities including:
Valuing, developing deal constructs and acquiring the assets or equity of operating wireless companies to supplement our network footprint,
Valuing and acquiring the interests of our equity partners in dozens of markets large and small
Acquiring and rationalizing new wireless spectrum on the secondary market to support our world-class network, valuing, developing deal constructs and acquiring other network related assets to advance Verizon in the marketplace.
Leading multi-functional integration teams to integrate acquired assets.
Transactions like these help cement our position as the wireless market leader. Working with internal teams from sales to legal, network, regulatory, finance and IT, you’ll anticipate critical gaps and future needs and make the right business and technology connections to offer the best integrated solutions. Ultimately, you will create better ways for people and businesses to stay connected.
Preparing detailed but elegant valuation models that incorporate large network data sets to support acquisition activity.
Preparing decision support materials including market research and intelligent insights for senior executive or board review in advance for major negotiations.
Negotiating with spectrum licensees, operating company executives or equity partners.
Collaborating with other managers within Business Development on projects including financial analysis, transaction due diligence, regulatory research, etc.
Managing acquisitions from concept to negotiation to signing to integration and every step in between.
Preparing and intelligently managing diligence request lists for target entities.
Assisting and leading various integration efforts including (but not limited to) network asset integrations and customer transitions.
Managing and strict cost controls related to TSA activities.
Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Managing and monitor concurrent projects and anticipate risk.
Supporting other analysis and activities as needed.

You bring the widest perspective to issues and think of aspects that others have missed. Revenue goals and business outcomes motivate you, but you’re also attuned to building close relationships with others—a combination that earns you respect and trust alike. A thirst for knowledge means that you’re a constant learner, and keeping up with everything Internet of Things is no problem. You envision the large and complex but make it easy for others to understand.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience marketing or selling complex technical solutions.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
CFA or CPA designation.
Master’s degree. Ideally, an MBA.
Experience with wireless industry, M&A, and post-M&A Integrations.
Experience selling and managing large, complex engagements and projects with multiple partners. Ideally, including c-suite.
Experience forging partner relationships and agreements.
Executive presence and influence skills.
