This position primarily provides administrative and operational support to the Director and Business Manager in the Department of Medicine. It provides the day-to-day operations of the Medicaid advisory Unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides executive administrative support to the Medicaid Advisory Unit Director and Business Manager, as well as affiliated faculty and clinician consultants.
  • Assists in the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the Medicaid Advisory Unit meetings, conferences, and other engagements
  • Maintains an overview of departmental responsibilities and deadlines, updates, and evaluates departmental policies and operational procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison between departments and/or between external and internal groups.
  • Completes the final copy of communications and documents for executives/administrators (reviews for appropriate spelling, punctuation, syntax, formats, and modifies as needed); drafts communications for an administrator and develops and distributes as directed.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations. Assist in Interview and Meeting preparation/scheduling, orientations, and evaluate staff to meet departmental and organizational needs.
  • Organizes meetings and conferences and prepares and distributes materials for conferences and other engagements.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications Required:

    1. Bachelor’s degree.
    2. A total of one (1) year (12 months) Administrative Support Experience. (Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)
