Salary: The previously determined range for this position was $43.68/hr to $89.54/hr*. The final rate offered will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a rate at or near the top of the full range for a position.
This position requires Illinois residency within 180 days of the hire date.

Position Summary
The Administrative Nurse III (Nurse Manager) is accountable and responsible for providing oversight of the department day to day operations. The Nurse Manager participates in evaluative research, teaching, prioritizing patient needs, and providing leadership with resource utilization. The Nurse Manager serves as a resource for physicians, nursing and support services. The Nurse Manager identifies strategies to monitor and evaluate resource management decisions, process improvement and quality initiatives in the department. The Nurse Manager relates effectively with department team members for high quality delivery of services and maintains high quality relations with other departments and nursing units. The Nurse Manager participates in all mandatory education requirements, maintenance of records and updating of policies, procedures and skills of personnel in the department.
The schedule is from 1pm to 9:30pm Monday thru Friday with one weekend per month. There will be two days off in the workweek in relation to the two weekend days worked per month.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
- Three years of professional nursing experience.
OR
Two years of professional nursing experience and one year of related advanced education - Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Current AHA BLS/CPR and other required unit specific certifications
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family, and health care providers
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the-job training
- Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and manage change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, preferably in an academic health care setting, preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in nursing leadership/management.
- Master’s Degree preferred in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Public Health, or Business.
