The College of Dentistry, Office of the Dean at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking an Executive Director of Innovation and Technology to develop and implement a vision and a strategic plan for the entire college around innovation and technology related to the College's Digital Dentistry Curriculum, Patient Care and Research enterprise. In addition, this position will hold a non-tenured faculty appointment in the appropriate academic department.

The Executive Director will engage college stakeholders to develop innovative technology in an evidenced-based approach, to improve student education and patient care across the entire college which includes the predoctoral DMD program, Advanced Standing Program, Postdoctoral programs and Faculty Practice.

Candidates must have DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent degree required and be eligible for licensure in Illinois highly preferred. Minimum three years' experience/training in digital technologies with demonstrated proof of that experience clinically and didactically. Leadership experience in a digital dentistry program or program director. Minimum three years' experience/training in using Computer-aided design (CAD) and Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software with demonstrated proof of that experience clinically and didactically. Rank is commensurate with norms and criteria for faculty appointments within the department hired.

The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge, skill and understanding of latest development in digital technologies as well as traditional and digital approaches to dentistry. Outstanding skills in oral and written communication, including public presentations. Demonstrated qualitative and critical thinking skills as well as collaborative skills both inside and outside the institutions, experience with an electronic record, and role to lead the transition to new electronic record and the associated integration of advanced technologies, ability to sustain ethical workplace practices and confidentiality and a strong commitment to diversity.

The budgeted salary range for the position is $110,000 to $160,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
