Our graduate students are prepared for academic and professional advancement through an education steeped in rigorous scholarship and practical application. The CCAS Graduate Student Services office is seeking a Senior Student Services Specialist who serves as a point of contact for faculty, staff, and students throughout their life-cycle. The coordinator has responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 600 graduate students. Primary responsibilities include advising students on academic processes and policy, assisting in registration, graduate clearances, and exception requests. The Students Services Specialist will also be cross-trained in graduate admissions and may assist the admissions team as necessary. This role is typically responsible for advising students on registration, graduation, and exception requests, advising faculty and staff on university policies and procedures, and reviewing and auditing student records. This position also typically researches and evaluates unusual or complex problems and requests, liaises with other GW contacts as needed, and provides effective solutions. This role often determines eligibility for graduation. Responsibilities: Graduate Student Services

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
