Associate Scientist (Tarrytown, NY)

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist (Tarrytown, NY) to assist in next generation sequencing (NGS) projects for our pharmaceutical research and development. Perform library prep including optimize NGS protocol, establish automation, quality control analysis, maintain records, and keep up databases. Provide presentations and verbal updates.

SALARY RANGE: $76,253.00 - $106,400.00 per year

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biological Sciences, or a related field and 3 years of NGS sequencing experience. Must have experience with: Performing library prep using custom and commercial protocols; Basic molecular biology techniques, DNA/RNA quantification technologies(Qubit and Tapestation), RT-PCR and PCR; Sequence NGS library on Illumina technology using 2x 300 kit (Miseq); Maintaining Miseq wash every week; Interpretating and reviewing NGS sequencing data using SAV file; Operating

automated liquid handling system (Hamilton STARlet ,Tecan and similar) for the library prep; Completing high throughput sample preparations in 5 days; Performing experiments to optimize NGS protocol and establish automation on NGS library preparation; Maintaining records and keeping up databases (LIMS); and Providing presentations and verbal update to a group meeting biweekly and larger group monthly.
