The Senior Manager, Global Procurement – International Markets: Netherlands, will report to the Senior Director, Global Procurement, International Markets and is responsible for developing and driving strategy for our procurement activities within the Netherlands as part of Regeneron’s international footprint. They work collaboratively with teammates as well as cross-functionally with partners across all Regeneron locations. The Senior Manager owns supplier relationships, actively participates in supplier selection, and manages ongoing performance and service delivery. While ensuring that unique market requirements (regulatory, language, legal, commercial, medical, cultural, etc.) are understood and appropriately addressed. They must have demonstrated capability to collaborate with partners to manage a growing supply base and increase value, minimize risk and ensure quality and cost effectiveness.

A Typical Day may include:

  • Enabling global priorities at a local level through partnership with Stakeholders and the Global Procurement organisation

  • Understanding of local in country market requirements with solid understanding of ways of working in country, and supply base Implementation of global category strategies within country to drive consistency in sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management in local markets.

  • Line management of the Netherlands' Procurement team, including establishing the team, setting objectives, mentoring and developing the team

  • Providing input to global category strategies to ensure strategies address international country needs where possible

  • Working as an International markets Procurement team to build processes and drive consistency and development of best practice across organisation

  • Reviewing local contracts for key areas of spend, and use data to monitor trends and patterns across spend at country level Partners with country stakeholders to proactively understand strategy and future requirements, as well as understanding country budgets and annual spend requirements

  • Execution of sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities in support of business needs

  • Driving value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities

  • Use data to drive decision-making for successful category projects

  • Coach proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team

  • You are a change-agent with diverse ideas to develop and manage program policies and procedures ensuring compliance

To be considered, you must possess a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years significant sourcing experience. Some amount of sourcing in pharma/biotech is helpful. This role requires someone with solid understanding of sourcing contracting, ERP and eRFx systems (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba and others), as well as strong knowledge of MS Suite. Experience leading associate and manager level professionals in a multi-national organization. Excellent verbal and written skills are a must.
