We are seeking a Digital Innovation Director to join our team. The purpose of the Digital Innovation Director is a key organizational position which partners with colleagues across all Franchises, Functions, Novartis Divisions and external channels to drive implementation of pioneering digital technologies.

The Digital Innovation Director plays an essential role in driving Global Drug Development’s digital agenda by catalyzing and leading digital projects to bring them to life. You will hold direct responsibility in the execution of an integrated strategy by ensuring alignment and efficient cross functional execution of multiple digital initiatives. This requires the ability to influence and lead multi-disciplinary teams across a variety of subject matters with minimal authority to deliver with high quality, and in accordance with approved strategy.

Major responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Engage with subject matter experts in drug development to assess and guide emerging digital solutions and work with functional digital leaders to help define the strategy and direction for each digital program.
• Drive initiatives and partnerships related to digital technologies in clinical development.
• Influencing strategy to ensure innovation, productivity, feasibility and effective adaption of digital solutions/ innovation across GDD
• Help define discrete projects and coordinate the activities with the Head of Process Innovation to ensure the best fit to the enterprise agenda and digital program strategy.
• Developing, designing and executing pilot programs to evaluate pioneering technologies
• Accountable for the implementation and scale-up of technology across the GDD organization in line with the GDD digital innovations strategy
• Anticipation and proactive risk management and develop mitigation plans
• Ensure effective team dynamics, performance, prioritization and communication.
