Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate – Women and Children Health Study – Mineola.
In this role, the successful Research Data Associate will support several projects relating to the impact that environmental factors have on children’s health and development. Currently our team is working on studies requiring team members to collect process and store biological and medical history data for NYU Factors Influencing Reproductive Success and Time to pregnancy NYU FIRST; NYU Children’s Health Environment Study NYU CHES; Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes ECHO NYU Pediatric Obesity Metabolism and Kidney Cohort Center. This positions will support a growing program of work assisting mainly with day to day research activities and data collection.
Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain informed consent from study participants and carefully follow study protocols and scripts
- Communicate with research participants including but not limited to: scheduling confirming and rescheduling appointments nbsp;
- Collect biospecimen samples from research participants and safely transport the samples to the lab nbsp;
- Obtain diet clinical data including: body measurements DXA scans and blood pressure measurements nbsp;
- Administer additional study assessments like diet/physical activity questionnaires chart abstraction cord blood and delivery/postnatal EHR extraction as well as anthropometric measurements nbsp;
- Conduct follow up calls with participants to ensure accurate data collection and assist with questionnaire data collection Keep records of all interactions in our call center database in a comprehensible way nbsp;
- Complete all necessary paperwork and data documentation including but not limited to data collection and documentation of specimen delivery and participant incentives nbsp;
- Perform data entry and database management activities nbsp;
- Support the study including but not limited to: creating electronic study forms cleaning data and generating reports to be used for participant scheduling and follow up nbsp;
- Ensure adequate stocking of supplies and report needs to supervisor nbsp;
- Maintain a positive and accommodating relationship with study team and participants nbsp;
- Evening and weekend hours and some travel required nbsp;
- Other duties and projects as assigned nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate’s degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of related experience in a healthcare research or educational environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Strong interpersonal and communications skills including written and verbal skills. Ability to prioritize work operate under tight deadlines and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to operate independently and with good judgment.Proficiency with various software packages including Microsoft Word Excel Access etc. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $39,878.31 – $61,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
