Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager. This will be a full-time, onsite position based at One Park Avenue. in Manhattan.
The FGP Project Manager is responsible for supporting the overall planning, coordination, status reporting, and management of Digital Access initiatives and Epic Operations initiatives reporting to the Senior Director of Ambulatory Operations and Optimization and the Senior Director of Epic Operations & Clinical Quality Reporting. This role will assist in digital access strategies and initiatives, and Epic transitions and onboarding, with a key focus on optimizing patient access, operations, and the patient experience.
The FGP Project Manager will utilize key performance metrics and conception d workflows to prioritize projects and optimize productivity, patient access, and service quality. This individual will plan and coordinate meetings and project milestones, send out communications as needed, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with various operations and IT teams. This individual must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for independently managing FGP projects, including scoping out projects, identifying goals and objectives, and creating project plans that support various initiatives.
- Manages key components of projects, including but not limited to, analyzing various data points and projecting future patterns.
- Responsible for managing project progress to ensure key milestones are met, including that project participants remain accountable for their deliverables. Adjusts project plans/and or resources to meet project needs and goals.
- Manages risk factors as needed to ensure projects remain on track and on time.
- Responsible for independently managing FGP projects as assigned, including scoping out projects, identifying goals and objectives, and creating project plans. Creates effective strategy implementation to drive projects to completion.
- Utilizes key FGP data elements to help drive effective outcomes and optimal project deliverables.
- Uses project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
- Supports the collaboration and relationship between operations and IT. Knows when to inform management and bring in other support.
- Facilitates coordination of project-related activities.
- Partners with leadership and senior management to identify and prioritize opportunities, track activities and manage open issues. Provides recommendations and feedback and commits to deliverables.
- Analyzes improvement opportunities based on a review of key performance indicators to help guide project priorities and tasks.
- Manages several projects and/or programs of medium to high complexity.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-4 years of work experience participating in improvement programs, problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills, self-motivated and detail-oriented with an excellent work ethic. Ability to multi-task coordinate numerous assignments and handle matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. Ability to recognize and identify problems, recognize implications, and propose alternative solutions. Extensive knowledge of Epic, and Windows platforms, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong knowledge of practice operations is a must. Exercise skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work promptly when there are changes in workload, assignments, and pressures of deadlines, competitive requirements, and/or a heavy workload. Demonstrates communication skills: using appropriate vocabulary and grammar when obtaining and conveying information to staff at various levels; in person, over the phone, in writing, and in electronically sent messages. Ability to be flexible regarding responsibilities when needed.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 – $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
