New Technology is the hallmark of Kimmel. It’s an incredibly innovative design that encourages teams to work dynamically and to streamline processes. With the new innovative technology, there’s a huge opportunity for the people that work here and I’m really excited to build my new team.
Tammy A.
Nurse Manager – Perioperative Service
The Kimmel Pavilion isn’t just designed to elevate patient experience, it’s designed to make for a great employee experience as well. There are many employee-centered spaces such as staff lounges, cafes, outdoor spaces, conference rooms, workstations, and locker rooms. NYU Langone is a great place to work -- now more than ever -- with the opening of this state-of-the art facility.
Quyen W.
Senior Director Nursing- NSG PCS and Operations
The single patient rooms are the number one thing that I’m looking forward to in the new space. Having single rooms will eliminate a lot of stress for staff, and more importantly for our patients and families.
After years of working as a bedside nurse in the ICU, I learned how to utilize critical thinking to analyze a situation and make quick decisions. When I moved into my current role, the transfer process with both my manager and HR was a smooth transition. Even after I transferred, my previous manager and I have maintained a good relationship. Now, as a Sr. Nurse Clinician, I use the skills I spent years honing to now help reduce stress from nurses during emergency situations. To continue learning, I take advantage of the conference reimbursement allowing me to attend critical care nursing conferences every year.
King T.
Senior Nurse Clinician
I am motivated to build my career at NYU Langone because the nursing staff and leaders support my growth. I have participated in nursing councils, collaborated on quality improvement projects, and have had the opportunity to present in educational forums. I have also been recognized for my contributions and encouraged to pursue a master’s degree. In the same way, I wish to inspire others to pursue lifelong learning opportunities so that they too can make a difference in patient care. In my role, I encourage nurses to grow professionally by supporting them every step of the way.
