Duties Description Will be required to perform necessary functions for the Ray Brook Office buildings and grounds. Such duties will include:
-Daily cleaning of building offices and bathrooms including: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping ,cleaning and sanitizing.
-Be responsible for pool vehicles, vehicle sign outs, routine fluid checks, cleaning, and other general vehicle maintenance.
-Ensure that all motorized snow removal and lawn care equipment is in good working condition.
-Assist in snow removal, salting and sanding, shoveling, plowing, snow blowing and Bobcat skid steer use.
-Maintain grounds/landscaping including mowing, weed whacking, and trimming.
-Daily monitoring and record keeping of water, sewer, pellet biomass system and HVAC system.
-Keep written records of work performed and materials and labor used.
-Operation of a variety hand/power tools and motorized equipment, including self propelled and stationary machinery.

Minimum Qualifications One year of service as a Facility Operations Assistant 1 or Motor Vehicle Operator; OR, two years of full-time, verifiable experience in custodial, grounds, or maintenance operation or assisting in a journey-level trade. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Overtime may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
