• Experience supervising or training staff or student workers.
Position Summary:
The Campus Mail Department as a part of Business Services at the University at Buffalo is seeking an Office Assistant 2 (Stores/Mail). In this role you will be responsible for the following:
• Billing and Financial Recordkeeping
• Procurement and Supply Management
• Outgoing Mail Processing and Customer Service
• Student staff supervision and training
• Administrative Support for Student staffing

Departmental Operation Needs:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional billing and shipping software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to transport and position mail trays and packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
• Non-competitive (NY HELPS):
• One year of experience where most work time is spent performing activities related to mail receipt, mail distribution, storage, and/or stores keeping.
• OR
• Competitive (NON-NY HELPS):
• Transfer Eligibility Requirement: You must have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title.
• Reassignment Requirement: You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo.
• Reinstatement Requirement: You must be a former state employee to request reinstatement to the title that was held (or transferable title).
