Duties Description Reporting to the Director of Command Center Operations, Safety, and Security, the Command Center Administrator (CCA) plays a critical role in maintaining situational awareness to ensure the security of NYSBA’s critical infrastructure and assets and the safety of the traveling public. This responsibility is fulfilled through active and passive monitoring of security, traffic, and safety conditions across all five bridge facilities operated by NYSBA: the Bear Mountain Bridge, Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, Mid-Hudson Bridge, Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, and Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
The Command Center Administrator coordinates and manages responses to security, traffic, and safety incidents occurring on NYSBA property. Additionally, the CCA ensures the functionality of essential NYSBA technologies and equipment through routine testing and troubleshooting, supporting seamless operations.
This role involves performing a range of administrative tasks to support daily operations, including but not limited to securing shift coverage, managing communications, and maintaining updated reference materials. The CCA also contributes to departmental and agency-wide initiatives by working on projects and assignments aligned with their expertise, such as data analysis, emergency management, or technology integration.
This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with the ability to think critically, act decisively in dynamic situations, and support NYSBA’s mission to uphold the safety and security of its infrastructure and the public.
