Duties Description Under the general direction of the Project Assistant (System Testing Lead), NS equated to G- 25, the Project Assistant (System Testers), NS equated to G-23, will be responsible for managing the testing activities to ensure application quality and performance. An incumbent will supervise a team of Project Assistants (System Tester Support) staff equated at G-18 level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Defines and creates detailed test designs, test cases, test scripts and test data, ensuring they align with the requirements and testing objectives.
• Utilizes appropriate tools for automated testing and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Identifies testing strategies and scope for automated and manual testing.
• Supplies support to the team for automated and manual test scripting.
• Validates data flow and communication between various system components and interfaces.
• Collaborates with team members to develop testing schedules.
• Collaborates with technical teams to set up and construct the test environment, including configurations and data.
• Oversees the defect lifecycle and construct any new fields or workflows related to defects.
• Delivers updates to the supervisor for system testing activities.
• Collaborates with team members on data conversion testing activities.
• Contributes with tracking and reporting out on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Sustains a collaborative environment that fosters and supports creative solutions and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate strong, professional, respectful communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to perform all duties of Project Assistant, G-18 position.
• Completes a full range of supervisory activities for subordinate staff.
Minimum Qualifications Seven years of professional experience in quality assurance.
OR
An associate's degree and five years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A bachelor’s degree and three years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A master’s degree and two years of the required experience as described above.
Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
