Duties Description Under the general direction of the Test Manager, NS (equated to SG-27), the System Testing Lead, NS (equated to SG-25), will be responsible for managing the technical testing activities to ensure application quality and performance. The incumbent will supervise a team of System Testers and System Tester Support staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Defines comprehensive test plans outlining objectives, resources, and schedule
for testing activities.
• Verifies the team has necessary resources to execute the testing activities.
• Ensures the testing aligns with the requirements and testing objectives of the
project.
• Collaborates with project managers to develop testing schedules.
• Identifies the testing strategy and scope for automated and manual testing.
• Guides their team to develop detailed test designs, test cases, and test scripts.
• Utilizes appropriate tools for automated testing, and adjust the tools, as
needed.
• Provides support to the team for automated and manual test scripting.
• Oversees the defect lifecycle and configures any new fields or workflows
related to defects.
• Monitors progress and provides updates and status reports to the Test Manager
for system testing activities.
• Manages external interface testing, validates both inputs and outputs between
the two systems.
• Manages regression testing for upgrades, patches, hot fixes, security updates,
etc.
• Performs the full range of supervisory activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Eight years of professional experience in quality assurance testing. At least one year of this experience must have been utilizing testing automation. One year of the experience must have been at a supervisory level.
OR
An associate’s degree and six years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A bachelor’s degree and four years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A master’s degree and three years of the required experience as described above.
Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
