About the role

Great Britain's electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system, one that protects the planet and serves generations to come.

We are looking to recruit Lead Project Managers to support delivery of two seperate projects ( 2 in North London, 1 in Leeds )

Leeds / North Yorkshire based

Onsite 3 days per week

EGL2 is a 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) electrical ‘superhighway’ cable link to be built between Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and Drax in North Yorkshire, England. This project creates an increased boundary transfer capacity between Scotland and England, accommodating increased renewable generation in Scotland. This will create huge consumer benefits through reducing constraints as well as being key to the net zero agenda.

The project is being jointly developed by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks Transmission (SSENT) and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET). The construction phase of the project is due to commence in July 2025, with intrusive surveys having commenced October 2024.

This role will initially be within the EGL2 onshore South delivery team, specifically managing the installation of circa 69km of HVDC cables from where the cables come onshore at Fraisthorpe, to the new Wren Hall Converter Station which is being built next to Drax Power Station in North Yorkshire
