National Grid is hiring an Apprenticeships Manager for our Technical Training team in Eakring which will require you to be onsite 2-3 times a week.
The Apprenticeships Manager will ensure the quality and compliance related to the delivery of the apprenticeship schemes for engineering programmes, and overseeing various aspects of apprenticeship delivery, from stakeholder engagement, compliance with regulatory bodies to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the nominee for Ofsted inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and actively contributing to the inspection process.
- Oversee the creation of the self-assessment report and quality improvement plan to enhance the overall quality of apprenticeship programs.
- Lead efforts to maintain compliance with the RoATP (Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers).
- Lead stakeholder governance meetings, including the Apprentice Governing Board, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure standardisation across apprenticeship programmes, collaborating with academia to maintain high-quality provision. Engage in regular stakeholder meetings to foster strong relationships and align program delivery with academic expectations.
- Ensure adherence to the terms of the MSP contract, confirming that all required elements are obtained as per the agreement.
- Responsible for Apprentice Quality Improvement Group (QIG) meetings, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Proven leadership experience in managing apprenticeship programmes, preferably in the utility or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards, regulatory frameworks, and safeguarding policies.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

A competitive salary between £60,000 – 70,000 – dependent on capability
