A fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of Project Management support helping drive the efficient running of a close knit Project Management team delivering the asset replacements required for maintaining the electricity system reliability and resilience enabling the UK to meet its climate, energy security commitments and net zero targets.
As the Project Administrator, you’ll be at the core of the South West Project delivery function supporting the Project Engineers in the delivery life cycle of individual projects or a portfolio of projects as required, whilst also supporting the Senior Project Manager with the governance position of the South West portfolio of projects and incident investigations as required.
Key activities will include:
• Production, management, control & quality checking of construction packs.
• Support project closure through, administration and quality checking of key mandatory project closure documents.
• Support site visits across the zone to maintain and check compliance and update of project & site documentation.
• Track and support change control process of Project Governance Documentation.
• Support with the financial reporting of schemes across multiple portfolios
• Support the team with Purchase Order administration.
• Lead on team initiatives and support process improvements.
What are the requirements?
BTEC, ONC (GNVQ level 3) or equivalent preferably in an engineering or project qualification. We are looking for someone with a strong background in project administration and with an excellent eye for detail. You should have experience of using computer systems, with Microsoft Office skills including proficiency in Excel and experience of working in a process driven environment. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you will be resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues. You can prioritise your workload and be used to working in a fast-paced environment, with the drive and determination to reach targets and deadlines. The South West Zone covers a large area of South West England and South Wales and will require some travel/overnight stays to support the Project team as and when required, we are actively looking for candidates within 1 hour travel time of postcode: BS37 9TX.
Pay and Benefits
• Starting salary of £41,561 to £48,895 pa + Benefits Package + Training and Development.
