The Treasury Systems team provides essential support to both the Treasury teams in the US and the UK through the management and optimization of Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems, along with the Quantum Treasury Management System. Acting as a liaison between various departments, including IT, external vendors, and end-users, the Treasury Systems team ensures that clear communication and coordination throughout all parties is upheld. In addition, this team effectively supports the oversight of projects related to system upgrades while performing IT controls activities for the organization.

As an intern, you will help modernize critical legacy applications using C# and contribute fresh ideas for optimization. You will also support key projects to upgrade energy risk systems and identify opportunities for automation. During your time with us, you will assist with routine maintenance, including issue monitoring and tracking, while working on custom applications to enhance their performance. Lastly, you'll be supporting a full system redesign to help the team discover and implement more efficient optimization strategies.

You will be in our Hicksville, NY office working in a Hybrid structure for your internship and must be within commutable distance of this identified work location. As an Intern you will be kept to a maximum of 20 hours per week while school is in session, with the possibility of more hours during winter and summer breaks.

This position requires that you commit to an internship experience of one year in duration.

What You'll Need

• Availability to start on October 28, 2024.
• Registered in school as a full-time student and continuing education full-time until the Fall 2025 semester
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or related major.
• Accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age
• Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)
• Located within a commutable distance to the identified work location
• Proficiency in Python, C#, SQL, Azure and Cloud Technology.
• Knowledge of Power Automate, Energy Trading, Database/ Risk Management Systems is a plus.
