About the Role

As our Facilities Technician, you'll be the frontline technical expert ensuring our client's facilities run smoothly. We're looking for a skilled Facilities Technician to join our Integrated Facilities Management team in Sydney. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on our client's daily operations while growing your technical expertise with a global leader in real estate services.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Operations & Maintenance:

  • Conduct daily inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment alongside the Site Engineering Manager

  • Perform minor repairs and replacements (light tubes, door locks, keyboard drawers)

  • Respond promptly to equipment alarms and help desk work orders

  • Organize and supervise maintenance vendors when needed

Facility Management:

  • Monitor equipment rooms and facilities using predefined checklists

  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs

  • Update inventory of consumables and spare parts

  • Support minor renovation projects and office fit-outs

Client Service:

  • Respond to user-reported defects promptly

  • Communicate repair status to facility users

  • Work closely with Building Management and Security teams

  • Attend site on weekends/after hours as required (typically one Saturday per month)

What we are looking for:

  • Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical, or related discipline

  • Valid electrical license (essential)

  • 3+ years of experience in facility-related technical services

  • Basic handyman skills

  • Fundamental computer proficiency

  • Clear communication skills in English (both verbal and written)

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
