About the Role
The Building Energy Specialist plays
an important role in ensuring JLL's clients are compliant with their green lease obligations and sustainability policy objectives. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in property sustainability. JLL will pay for any training required to obtain NABERS assessor accreditation or expand existing accreditations.


This role can be based out of Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a program NABERS assessments, including allocating resources from a pool of assessors across Australia to minimise travel, manage scheduling, and report on progress

  • Travel and visit many client sites to complete assessments

  • Identify opportunities to improve building efficiency or implement other sustainability measures while completing site visits

  • Participate in broader sustainability projects, working with the JLL sustainability team to develop business cases through analysis of utility or waste data

  • Continually improve the processes and documentation used by JLL NABERS assessors

About You

  • You are attentive to detail with a passion for data accuracy

  • Have strong communication and people skills

  • Flexible, service-oriented personality with a passion for sustainability and environmental improvement

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including formulas, conditional formatting and other common functions

  • NABERS assessor accreditation, or a strong understanding of the NABERS rating process (highly beneficial however not a necessity)

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to property sustainability (beneficial but not a necessity)

  • Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and hold an AGSVA Clearance and/or additional associated Entity clearances
