Role Function:
- Responsible and accountable for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive EHS strategies and programs for the building.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, minimizes environmental impact, and promotes a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee areas including occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and emergency preparedness. This includes but is not limited to Security Processes, Security System and Fire Protection System.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS laws, regulations, and standards.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for team members
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Manage the building’s environmental impact, including waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of builidng operations.
- Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor EHS budgets and expenditures.
- Stay informed about emerging EHS trends, technologies, and best practices, implementing improvements as appropriate.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and certification organizations as needed.
Performance Indicators:
- Reduction in workplace incidents, accidents, and environmental incidents
- Improvement in EHS compliance scores and audit results
- Successful implementation of EHS initiatives and programs, including but not limited to Tabletop Exercises, Fire Drill, Fire Certification Renewal.
- Occupant engagement and participation in EHS activities
- Timely completion of EHS training programs
- Achievement of environmental sustainability targets
- Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders, such as tenants/ occupants.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and relevant software
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and standards
Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Property Management or related field. Senior FSM certification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS or Property Management roles
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices
- Experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems
- Understanding of risk management and emergency response procedures
