Global Sourcing Director
The Global Sourcing Director will lead and oversee the company's worldwide sourcing strategy, with an immediate emphasis on vendor rationalization, compliance, standardization to scale rapidly, and ensuring a robust and resilient supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Align EMEA, APAC, NOAM, and LATAM sourcing strategies and processes to consolidate vendors in each region and establish a network of preferred suppliers.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive global sourcing strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
3. Manage global sourcing projects to support rapid growth and changing business needs.
4. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers worldwide, conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments.
5. Manage a team of sourcing professionals across multiple regions, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, operations, finance, and legal to ensure alignment of sourcing activities with business needs.
7. Implement and maintain sourcing best practices, policies, and procedures across the organization.
8. Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and geopolitical factors to anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the sourcing process and reduce costs.
10. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and sourcing effectiveness.
11. Stay informed about global trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence across all sourcing activities.
12. Keep clients informed regularly about sourcing activities, progress, and key developments:
o Prepare and deliver clear, concise updates on sourcing initiatives and their impact on business operations
o Develop and maintain effective communication channels with clients across different regions and time zones
o Proactively address client concerns and questions related to global sourcing strategies
13. Present to C-suite level executives and board members:
o Develop and deliver high-level presentations on global sourcing strategies, performance, and future plans
o Articulate complex sourcing concepts and data in a clear, compelling manner suitable for executive audiences
o Provide strategic insights and recommendations to inform top-level decision-making
o Respond effectively to challenging questions and concerns from senior leadership
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and process improvements
• Strong understanding of international business practices, trade regulations, and cultural nuances
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities
• Exceptional leadership and team management experience
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives
• Strong ability to translate complex sourcing data and strategies into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in creating impactful visual presentations using tools like PowerPoint or similar software

Estimated total compensation for this position:
138,000.00 – 162,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
