The Mobile HVAC Technician is responsible for performing annual preventive maintenance work within a given geographic territory, adhering to Jones Lang LaSalle standards and guidelines. This role involves hands-on repair and maintenance work on various building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, card access, doors & gates, building envelope, grounds and parking lots, interior finishes, and lighting systems. The position requires travel within a specified geography and daily interaction with teams in person, by phone, and via email.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Performing preventive maintenance and repair service on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
- Identifying energy savings opportunities, including system and operational changes to decrease energy consumption
- Conducting routine building maintenance and plumbing tasks as necessary
- Independently planning work assignments and performing duties with minimal direct supervision
- Assisting as a helper in other trades and in general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds
- Interacting with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clients
- Using industry-standard tools and adhering to all relevant codes, laws, and regulations
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs, or 5 years military experience including work on HVAC systems
- High school diploma or GED
- Universal CFC certification
- Hands-on skills and knowledge to repair and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including pumps, motors, air handlers, automation/controls systems, and associated electrical systems
- Proficiency in using computers, Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and handheld electronic devices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Preferred:
- Experience with building automation systems, card access systems, and other specialized building systems
- Knowledge of energy-saving practices in commercial properties
- Experience in managing diverse relationships with team members, contractors, and clients
