The Role:
We are seeking a Sustainability Manager to join us in Melbourne for a key client with a national property portfolio.
As Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in advising our client on Sustainability matters, identifying, planning and delivering sustainability measures to achieve significant environmental and financial benefits
The role includes benchmarking client sites to industry recognised standards, identifying technical and non-technical improvement measures, and helping our clients and JLL’s account team implement these measures.
This role provides fantastic exposure to all stages of the property lifecycle, and opportunities to incorporate sustainability into leasing, facilities management, procurement, and project management activities.
Responsibilities of the Sustainability Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Direct engagement with JLL’s clients as a subject matter expert on sustainability matters.
- Collaborating with our clients to help them develop sustainability practices that align with their organisational needs and operations
- Identifying opportunities for projects and initiatives that reduce energy consumption and save our clients’ money
- Providing advice and development of green lease obligations, NABERS ratings, site-specific energy management plans, and participating in landlord sustainability committee meetings
- Monitoring and analysing utility consumption data to identify energy efficiency improvement or anomalies.

You will have relevant tertiary education and/or prior property sustainability work experience; skills derived in related consulting, technical delivery or client relationship management roles would be highly beneficial
Ideally you will have experience working with large organisation in developing and delivering sustainability initiatives and hold NABERS Warehouse assessor qualifications, Green Star or equivalent standard qualifications.
You have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and a strong ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and listen effectively and communicate through action and example.
You are committed to positively contributing to a high performing team and can prioritise and meet deadlines, working across a wide range of concurrent varied tasks.
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail is essential to maintain accurate records
