What this job involves: The Sr. Lab Equipment Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing laboratory equipment and communications with stakeholders such as Client Lab Operations and EHS. This position is responsible for coordinating and/or executing various elements of the lab equipment lifecycle including asset induction, installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and retirement. The incumbent must be very detail-oriented, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be dedicated to collaborating with stakeholders to ensure minimal impact on lab operations resulting from routine and reactive maintenance.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Perform Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)-related asset management activities for new and existing lab equipment including asset induction, physical labeling/signage application, routine maintenance/calibration schedule implementation, location updates, etc.
- Coordinate equipment service vendors, escort and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with field service staff and ensure all relevant safety protocols/procedural site SOPs are followed during on-site services.
- Provide logistical coordination with Client and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor administrators/field service staff and Client/internal stakeholders.
- Maintain standard workflow processes; ensure preventive maintenance and calibration services are completed on time.
- Review service reports for accuracy, document completion of vendor-performed services, and follow up with the Lead Facilities Planner and Client teams regarding equipment service activities.
- Monitor and report on the performance of equipment service vendors against established expectations; serve as a primary feedback contributor during vendor performance evaluations.
- Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
Work Schedule:
Four days on-site and one day remote, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
- Associate degree or combined technical training/direct experience is desirable, but not required.
- Previous work in a GMP or GLP-regulated environment is desirable, but not required.
- Previous experience with Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager is desirable, but not required.
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech research and/or manufacturing facilities experience is desirable, but not required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.
- Must have a safety mindset while completing assigned tasks and directing outside vendors.
- Proficiency in various computer programs such as MS Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Estimated total compensation for this position:
70,000.00 – 80,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
