Job Summary/Goals:

To support the Data Centre sales team in winning profitable business to grow the EMEA Data Centre vertical. Core scope is Facilities Management, but some support of Project and Development Services will also be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are expected within this role:

  • Leading and managing pricing for data centre bids, working with counterparts in other regions to drive consistency where necessary. Includes partnering collaboratively with the Sales Lead and Solution Manager to develop, revise and optimize the proposed solution in order to present the best commercial offer to the client.

  • Developing the commercial model and pricing strategy and approach for global or regional bids through scenario modelling to simulate outcomes and support Sales and business decision making.

  • Supporting the Sales Lead in preparing for and presenting at Regional or Global Commercial Review Board (CRB) reviews. Includes covering the P&L, cash flow, savings and other pricing related areas while also highlighting risks and their associated mitigations strategies as appropriate for signoff.

  • Work closely with the Sourcing Team and potential 3rd parties to negotiate and agree best prices for bid submissions. This will involve interrogation of quotes to ensure best value for money and be able to negotiate and agree best prices for bid submissions.

  • Ensure the full understanding of labour costings within the Data Centre environment. This is specifically important for Shift Roles and their respective shift premiums and other burdens they are entitled to. Furthermore, need to ensure compliance across EMEA for working time hours in different countries.

  • Cost and map TUPE positions for any bids as and when required.

  • Input into & support the development of Global/Regional/Geo/Country pricing and solution tools, internal costing methodologies and process changes to enable a speedier response to bids & ensure a full end-to-end audit trail.

  • Review current EMEA / Global pricing and solution process VS competitor process and propose process improvements to increase Sales productivity and win rate

  • Global collaboration to share ideas and drive continuous improvements.

  • Assisting non-financial teams, both internal and client, to understand and comprehend the commercial aspects of bids.

  • Client facing sales and deal negotiation when required.

  • Supporting the Sales Lead and Solution Manager in handing over deals to the transition, accounts and operations teams.

Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills required – ability to build sophisticated pricing models.

  • Financial acumen and experience with data analysis, data cleansing, data modelling, and pricing analysis.

  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a large matrix organization and establish credibility and influence.

  • Strong Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills - ability to interpret and synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources into meaningful, action-oriented recommendations.

  • Strong Communication Skills - develop and sustain close working relationships with key stakeholders. Able to argue and defend analysis and the implications of it to all levels of the organization.

  • Results Driven - ability to design studies to address questions or business problems. Self-motivated and organized to successfully complete work projects. Attentive to details. Expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain high quality deliverables

Competencies:

  • A clear understanding of the technical aspects of maintenance in critical environments

  • A basic understanding of data centre IT service delivery

  • Ability to manage multiple work streams.

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.

  • Ability to develop creative pricing/financial models that can adapt to the changing requirements.

  • Strong Excel skills and high knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Experience:

  • Previous experience in Pricing and Commercial modelling on complex outsourcing contracts, ideally related to Technical or Critical Environments using SFG20.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Maths, Statistics, Finance.
