What this job involves –
The role of the Engineering and Facilities Manager is to ensure the proper operation of all hard services at the Facility. They must establish, operate, and maintain a comprehensive program which allows an organization to manage and oversee the Maintenance of the Building, Building Systems and Equipment.
Your day to day:
This leadership role is focused on hard services with engineering services at the forefront. The primary job responsibilities are as follows:
- Life Cycle Asset Maintenance – ensure all critical equipment vendor PM’s are completed as per schedule
- Ensure compliance by completing all related training, Action Items/Audit Responses, and ensuring that all critical PMs are completed on time
- Ensure all safety, environmental, and standards are strictly adhered to within managed facilities
- Ensure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities
- Improve safety performance by changing level of awareness and changing behaviors
- Develop, track and implement energy conservation initiatives and document savings
- Measure and manage client feedback, written and verbal throughout the year
- Conduct formal and informal relationship meetings with contacts
- Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), HVAC or Mechanical degree (preferred),Facilities Management, or related field experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or engineering
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiatives
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
