We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive Facilities Coordinator to oversee our hard services operations. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal functioning, maintenance, and efficiency of our building systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex systems and projects effectively.
Location: Puerto Madero, Capital Federal, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Work model: On site.
Contract Type: Indefinite-term.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all building equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Manage and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Monitor and analyze building energy consumption, implementing energy-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee building automation systems, ensuring proper functioning and optimization of controls for various building systems.
Coordinate and supervise renovation and construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
Manage the building's life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting, ensuring all are properly maintained and tested.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
Manage and maintain accurate documentation of all building systems, including warranties, service contracts, and maintenance records.
Respond to and resolve technical issues and emergencies promptly and effectively.
Assist in developing and managing budgets for hard services, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with the soft services team to provide comprehensive facilities management support.
Participate in sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing the environmental impact of building operations.
Provide technical guidance and training to other facilities team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or building engineering, with a focus on hard services.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience in project management, particularly in overseeing maintenance and renovation projects.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Knowledge of energy management principles and sustainability practices.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergencies and work flexible hours when required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, Building Systems Maintenance Certificate) are a plus.
