This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the engineering services, primarily asset management and operations. In this capacity, the Engineering Manager is accountable for providing tools, resources, and technical support for the engineering professionals in JLL and for the client.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the technical operation, staffing, performance, and development of the Engineering delivery staff in the areas/programs of facility condition assessments, corrective/preventative maintenance, and emergency response procedures.
- Demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, and creativity.
- Support the development and management of the preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Support the Property Managers, as needed, in the implementation of short and long-term operational initiatives for the Client’ property portfolio.
- Develop an annual site assessment schedule, including both self-audits and personal visits. Perform the audits and submit the results to the PAM team, and the Client. After review and approval, share results with the Engineering Director.
- Request, consolidate and analyze the weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual work order statistics in order to manage trending, and process improvement initiatives.
- Where required, provide support to the root cause analysis for asset failure incidents.
- Coordinate discussions with Client property team, regarding goal setting, and performance review of the property department.
- Participate, as required, in the performance evaluation of the technical/engineering personnel provided by the vendor network.
- Coordinate the training efforts for the engineering/technical/PM personnel, including technical topics, as well as the necessary programs training for the property management level team.
- Maximize utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors on a country and/or regional level and ensure that the vendors/contractors are providing the agreed service levels.
- Evaluate between Client’s best practices and JLL’s best practices, implementing the ones that are going to ensure the best-in-class operations for the Client.
- Develop an efficient/effective way to address the most common requests and/or processes.

- Develop a methodology to assess and improve engineering, M&R processes including documenting and implementing changes
- In partnership with Client, oversee the development and management of all related content, including processes, policies, guidelines, FAQs, SOPs, and other information needed to support the activities and own the regional process and content catalogue in collaboration with Engineering Director, PAM team, and Client.
- Regularly review and troubleshoot processes and data, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Partner with PAM Lead and Client to review, document and improve all end to end processes
- Work with the Client to identify and deliver solutions to solve process pain points in operations / day-to-day activities, identify policy, procedure or process gaps, and develop new policies as needed
- Understand where technology can be leveraged to refine or eliminate non value-add process steps.
- Support the design and creation of content and educational materials related to processes, business instructions, job aids and policies.
- Serve as the central collection point for all common issues related to policy, procedure, and process
- Liaise with local teams to review and validate new or changing policy documentation
- Share best practices with the Engineering Services team, and also with the PAM team on the country.
- When required, submit bulletins and/or newsletters regarding topics related to engineering services.
- Participate in all applicable JLL initiatives. These include but are not limited to building condition assessments (ProSite), benchmarking, and meetings.
- Submit monthly reports to Engineering Services Director.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Fluency in and ability to fully read and write both Spanish and English.
Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office, at the intermediate levels.
Experience in reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
At least ten (10) years of practical experience in the operation and maintenance of similar industrial facilities.
A related background in general, mechanical, and electrical construction projects.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical concentration.
