As the business continues to grow, Data & Analytics roles will help underpin the business transformation. This role will steer the technical ship from a data, insights and reporting perspective. It will be heavily business facing and will be highly regarded internally. As BI Analyst, Your insights will be valued and you'll work closely with senior level executive stakeholders to help drive decision making.

About You:

  • Strong business acumen, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven experience and business exposure in a similar role across BI Analyst, or a Power platform consultant role ;
  • Experience in the Power Platform suite, Azure data stack and Databricks highly advantageous;
  • Experience working in an agile environment; and
  • Friendly, dynamic personality with a growth mindset for continuous learning and improvement. A key personality trait of helping others and your organisation through data enabled decision making.

As the Power Platform (BI) Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Creating innovative solutions using data
  • Leading the BI development to deliver, operate and support BI tools, including Azure and Power platform.
  • Improving the effectiveness and governance of BI platforms across the business
  • Supporting Work Dynamics community of BI enthusiasts to uplift skills, practices and data literacy

This role reports to the Head of BI Operations and works in close partnership with leaders of several BI and Analytics teams that are federated into different business functions.

The Team

The BI Platform team is a small team made up of the BI Analysts and BI Analysts and Data Science professionals located in Australia, Singapore and India.

It is part of the wider Data Platforms team which provides self-service platforms enabling users to work with data to make informed decisions and create great customer experiences.

The team supports a wide range of teams across JLL & Work Dynamics who work with data and BI. Some key stakeholders are senior Executives , Operation managers and federated BI practitioners embedded in our Sales, Country Operations, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Commercial Excellence teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design scalable, efficient, and intuitive BI solutions.
  • Create, maintain, update, and upgrade reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Develop data extraction through SQL queries/Python.
  • Extract and transform data from diverse sources using Power Query, adapting it for integration into Power BI data models.
  • Develop, test, and optimize data models, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and security by implementing best practices. Identify and troubleshoot data quality and performance issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of BI solutions.
  • Developing, supporting & maintenance of applications using MS Power Apps platform to customise based on business needs.
  • Collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders across the business.
  • Undertake testing and debugging and investigate performance issues.
  • Provide documentation of the processes, including requirements, designs and configuration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in BI development role. Deep understanding of BI tools, technologies, practices, and governance.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and experience with data modelling and database design.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data integration technologies.
  • Strong Proficiency in Power Platform tool such as Power BI, Power Apps , Power Automate.
  • Strong professional expertise with Power platform & Azure services is ideal. Databricks is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive, user-friendly data visualizations and reports.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python for advanced data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in the commercial real estate industry is a plus.
