Summary: Join our facilities management team as a Critical Facilities Engineer, where your primary responsibility will be to review and assess project managers' approaches to critical facility project works in order to minimize disruptions to banking operations. You will provide expertise in logistics, operations, and techniques to ensure the design, resiliency, and efficient functioning of critical infrastructure supporting IT projects. Collaborating closely with project teams, you will provide advice to project managers to integrate project schedules seamlessly into existing operational environments, while maintaining high levels of availability, reliability, and resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Player: Proven track record of integrating into a team and showing collaboration when difficult problems arise. Willing and able to speak up when there is a problem identified, confidence to challenge others.
  • Review: Evaluate project managers' approaches to works, including logistics, operations, and techniques, to minimize impact on banking operations and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with project implementations affecting critical facilities, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize interruptions to business operations.
  • Integration: Collaborate with project teams, facilities managers, and BCIM professionals to seamlessly integrate CFE projects into existing critical infrastructure while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing disruptions.
  • Resiliency Planning: Incorporate resiliency considerations, redundancy measures, and failover mechanisms into project designs, ensuring continual critical operations.
  • Budgeting and Procurement: Provide technical guidance and cost estimates for critical infrastructure upgrades or replacements needed to support projects during the budgeting process.
  • Life Cycle Asset Management: Provide life cycle advice, maintenance strategy requirements.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to critical facility operations and maintain accurate documentation on design specifications, maintenance procedures, and incident reports.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and products, while maintaining quality, safety, and adherence to resilience standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Registered Engineer a plus
  • Proven experience as a Critical Facilities Engineer, with expertise in project management within the banking industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of critical facility infrastructure, including data centers, power distribution, HVAC systems, UPS systems, and environmental monitoring.
  • Familiarity with design standards, resilience principles, and best practices for critical facility operations within a banking environment.
