  • Description
    • Position reports to a Lead Engineer and interfaces with both a Project Engineer and Project Manager. A Client Software Engineer is responsible for most HVAC software development tasks for new commercial building onboarding including: Software specification review, equipment operation sequencing, advanced energy design, quality control and Hank implementation.
  • Expectations
    • Coordinate with Lead Engineer on commercial building onboarding tasks
    • Understand existing building automation system design
    • Remote testing of key operational features of HVAC equipment
    • HVAC equipment Sequence of Operation (SOO) review
    • HVAC control subroutine deployment and quality control
    • Sequencing optimization and tuning
  • Skills Learned
    • Active participation in strategic virtual building engineering onboarding process
    • Advanced energy design with other Hank technical stakeholders
    • Discovery of advanced HVAC operational theories
    • End-to-end HVAC design and implementation
    • Building Management System (BMS) navigation and deployment
    • Advanced Tridium Niagara development
  • Qualifications
    • +4 years experience technical background in Building Automation field
    • Experienced in HVAC equipment Sequence of Operation (SOO)
    • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment design
    • Advanced knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
    • Advanced knowledge of Tridium Niagara
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Additional Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of HVAC energy efficiency measures
    • Basic knowledge in machine-learning modeling
    • Bachelors Degree Mechanical Engineering preferred

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:

100,000.00 – 110,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
