What this job involves –
The Employee Relations Lead assesses and helps resolve employee issues while providing recommendations to mitigate risk for the firm. This role concentrates on addressing gaps in perception, understanding, or performance expectations between employees and management. Moreover, the Employee Relations Lead recommends solutions that align with JLL's commitment to fair and equitable treatment of its employees and promote JLL's best interests.
The Employee Relations Lead plays a critical role in developing and maintaining a high level of skillset and consistent standards within their team which includes Senior Employee Relations Consultants and Consultants.
The Employee Relations Lead will actively promote collaboration and offer assistance to all business lines and HR Centers of Excellence working towards supporting the AMR region. Additionally, they will play a key role in enhancing the ER Center of Excellence (COE) function by actively contributing to the creation of training programs, tools, templates, processes, reference materials, and other projects. This position reports directly to the AMR Employee Relations Lead.
- Acts as a collaborative player/coach, offering guidance and support to their team while serving as a trusted escalation point for direct reports.
- Optimizes resources and maximizes productivity by determining the distribution, allocation, and capacity of workload for the team; conducts case management audits when necessary.
- Conducts investigations of potential employment law violations, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and NLRA.
- Independently resolves complex ER cases by gathering relevant information, analyzing findings, and applying company policies to reach conclusions.
- Consults, guides, coaches, and advises senior executives, HR Business Partners, and HR Leadership team members in collaboration with legal on high-risk and complex matters.
- Consults on reductions in force activities and associated risk.
- Identifies and resolves employee concerns through recommended actions and oversight.
- Analyzes casework trends and leverages data to develop strategic recommendations for HR and the business, enabling proactive identification and resolution of systemic issues through coaching, training, and education.
- Maintains accurate investigation records and provides case management and data entry guidance to their team.
- Partners in the analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to foster a positive work environment for JLL employees.
- Represents the ER team cross-functionally and contributes to decisions benefiting the entire ER team and JLL HR Department.
- Performs timely and constructive performance evaluations aligned with JLL's Talent Management process.
- Leads and supports the team in their professional development and expertise as ER practitioners.
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top talent for the JLL Employee Relations team.
- Occasional travel may be required.

TECHNICAL
- Extensive knowledge of employment, wage, and hour, FMLA, and EEO laws and regulations.
- Expertise in internal investigation principles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Skilled in gathering, synthesizing, analyzing, and reporting ER data.
- Ability to effectively communicate data, trends, and their impact on the team and company.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Teams, and other telecommunications software.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Navex, ServiceNow, or Workday (experience is a plus).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial or Labor Relations or related field (Post-graduate HR or Legal experience preferred).
- 5-7+ years of employee relations experience, including team management.
Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:
115,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD per yearThe pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
