Role Purpose
The Americas Security lead will manage the development and implementation of an effective security strategy and program to mitigate risk, safeguard the accounts human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation, and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations. The role will strategize and implement a security program to align with Royal Philips (RP) corporate objectives and address all aspects of physical security within the scope of the contract, including crisis management, emergency preparedness and response, investigations, personnel security, security education and training, contingency planning, administrative security. The Lead will report to the Head of JLL Global Security and a dotted line report to the Account IFM Director
What this job involves
Performance
- Implement Global Work Dynamic HSSE strategic objectives and bring them to life for the (RP), ensuring effective operational relevance.
- Manage and reduce operational risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on security, safety and risk management at all levels.
- Provide technical advice on relevant HSSE issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client.
- Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation
- Identify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for HSSE risks.
- Ensure building related risk assessments are in place in line with legal requirements and Client Global Risk Control Standards
- Manage account for incident and accident investigations
- Organize, implement, and maintain an effective account HSSE communication plan
Leadership
- Foster a Culture of Safety and Security across the account
- Assist the Americas Lead manage and develop the account regional HSSE teams maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational HSSE management.
- Support Regional EHS and Security leads in developing relationships with key internal and external EHS and Security stakeholders.
- Devleop a program with the third party vendors Area Managers and onsite Secuity Officers cultivating ideas, communication avenues and share best practices amongst the team(s).
- Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved
- Deliver an exceptional quality of service to (BP), as reflected by client feedback.
- Embed JLL Workday Dynamics (WD) HSSE requirements and meet client requirements and standards.
- Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, (BP) organizations, and 3rd party vendors
- Contribute to the WD HSSE programme as part of the global HSSE leadership team
- Ensure 3rd party vendors maintain compliance with JLL WD and (BP) HSSE Standards at all times.
Standards
Provide support to the Americas Security Lead (RP) in North America in the following areas;
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of JLL Global HSSE operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with HSSE obligations and JLL’s HSSE aspirations.
- Drive the development of best practice HSSE training programs and resources.
- Implement HSE strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL’s contractors and supply chain vendors.
- Oversee the successful delivery of HSSE regulatory responsibilities and best practices globally to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation.
- Oversee the successful management of assurance for the HSSE program, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.
- Development and implementation of a corporate wide security plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities, identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
- Develop global security policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the respective regions which may include international locations, establish security-related quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels. Ensure that appropriate mitigations are in place or planned.
- Lead and manage security related corporate-wide global projects, and ensure key objectives are met.
- Develop an account incident reporting program that captures client requirements and implement across the sites working with onsite leadership and the onsite third party.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of training sessions that can be deployed globally, to ensure organizational preparedness for a business resiliency or security related incident and promote employee awareness and engagement.
- Respond to business resiliency related emergencies and support crisis management globally
- Oversee and manage executive and personnel protection security details as required, including the creation of emergency action plans to ensure preparedness.
- Participate in cross functional efforts with G&A to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies.
- Oversee department’s participation in the development of new facilities and facility renovations from a security standpoint, including security installations and access controls.
- Current knowledge/familiarity with emerging security technologies and practices. Explore and implement new security technologies that provide value to the business.
- Have an indepth knowledge in the latest industry technologies including the preferred client systems Lenel and Nedap.
- Develop initiatives to stabilize compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry.
- Facilitate the development of site-specific business continuity plans.
- Manage staff of internal security resource and outsourced security personnel resources (partners and vendors), as appropriate to ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, state and federal agencies, and security peers, consultants and vendors, including OUS as appropriate.

The Candidate
Experience
- A minimum 5 years Security management experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients.
- Experience in leading a Regional or Country Corporate Security with increasing responsibility within loss prevention, and/or law enforcement/intelligence field
- Appropriate recognized Professional Security qualifications and memberships
- Management system development, implementation and auditing experience;
- Deep understanding of the Security regulatory environment in major markets
- Experience of implementing Security technology platforms and data management tools across multiple countries & regions.
- Experience of managing a large varied, multi-cultural team.
- Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio.
- Significant practical experience of problem solving security issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes
- Demonstrated proficiency in navigating high-stress and high-impact emergency management and response
- Experience in managing threat assessments, including risks, impact and mitigation of data/IT breaches and terrorist attacks
- Working knowledge of access control and CCTV systems is required. Must have experience developing and managing physical security requirements across a variety of site types.
- Experience working with local and national enforcement agencies; experience with international agencies preferred.
- An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management – able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.
- A strong orientation to goals and measurable results.
- Excellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate at all levels of the account.

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:
