We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Analyst & Financial Support Intern to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting financial decision-making, ensuring accurate cost analysis, and maintaining effective collaboration with key stakeholders. The hired intern to comfortably complete the responsibilities would need to work a minimum of 30 hours/week.
Responsibilities
Gather financial data from diverse sources to support cost model analysis.
Assist in evaluating production costs, operating expenses, and overheads to identify trends and potential savings.
Create and maintain spreadsheets to track cost-related data systematically.
Keep detailed records of methodologies and assumptions used in cost analysis to ensure transparency.
Support in the update or enhancement of cost model tools and templates.
Explore "what-if" scenarios to predict financial outcomes under varying conditions.
Assist Business Intelligence Analysts with third-party purchases and cost-related tasks.
Create and manage purchase orders for third-party products, ensuring timely updates to internal teams for open opportunities.
Validate the accuracy of cost data, calculations, and projections to maintain high standards.
Revise cost models based on feedback from senior analysts or supervisors.
Manage inbound workflows for cost/price requests to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Build and maintain positive relationships with project managers and other key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Currently enrolled in either BSc or MSc studies in Economics or Finance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheet software and data management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Details-oriented and a true team player
Excellent English knowledge in both written and verbal communication
