Public Policy & Regulation Intern

Holland & Knight's Public Policy & Regulation Group operates a fall, spring and summer internship program for current undergraduate students. Our internship program is structured around the academic semester/summer schedule. Generally, interns work a minimum of 18 hours and a maximum of 25 hours. This is a paid position. The program will be in-person in our Washington, D.C. office.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substantive issue research;
  • Virtually attend congressional and executive branch agency hearings;
  • Draft memorandums;
  • Prepare presentations for client meetings;
  • Provide general administrative support to our Washington, DC-based lobbying practice group.
  • Participation in meetings with the firm's senior personnel to discuss their practices, backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong writing skills are essential requirements;
  • An applied understanding of executive and legislative branch processes will also be valuable to the intern experience.

Education:

  • Eligible candidates are current undergraduate students in good standing. Summer candidates must plan to be enrolled in class for the following fall semester.
