Description

The Lead Technical Accountant will play a key role in analyzing, optimizing, and managing core business processes to support operational efficiency and strategic growth within the organization. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing expertise in process control, technical accounting, and ERP implementation. Public accounting experience is required, and Big 4 experience is preferred, as the role demands a strong foundation in analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to align business processes with industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Business Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze, document, and assess current business processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Lead the development and implementation of process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Process Control and Governance: Ensure proper internal controls are integrated into business processes, complying with financial and operational requirements. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to align business processes with internal control frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Accounting and Research: Provide expertise on technical accounting matters, including researching and analyzing new accounting standards and complex accounting issues. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate accounting treatments and compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and other relevant standards. Conduct in-depth technical accounting research to support the implementation of accounting policies, resolve accounting issues, and prepare technical memos or position papers as necessary.
  • ERP Implementation: Support ERP system implementations or upgrades by ensuring business processes are effectively mapped, documented, and aligned with system capabilities. Provide insight into how ERP functionalities can drive efficiency and scalability in financial and operational workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across finance, operations, IT, and other departments to understand business requirements and develop solutions that integrate best practices and meet strategic goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate process effectiveness, identify trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Lead or support process improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools, or technologies. Develop timelines, manage resources, and ensure projects stay on track with established milestones.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate discussions with senior leadership and stakeholders, delivering detailed process documentation, reports, and presentations that provide insights and recommendations for process changes and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA is preferred.
  • Public accounting experience is required, with Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business process analysis, process control, and technical accounting.
  • Strong expertise in technical accounting research and knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
  • ERP system implementation experience is highly desirable (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and the use of tools like Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and present complex information clearly.
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: $ 115,000 - $130,000
