Procurement Manager

Dalkia Scotland is looking for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead and deliver high-impact procurement initiatives across our Engineering, Facilities, and Fire & Security divisions. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to shape procurement performance, drive best practices, and support our continued growth across the UK.
Job Purpose
- To identify, manage and deliver project and strategic procurement deals for all sub-divisions of Dalkia Scotland, namely: Dalkia Engineering, Dalkia Facilities, and Dalkia Fire & Security.
- To interface with Dalkia UK to ensure alignment between Dalkia Scotland and Dalkia UK procurement objectives.
- To support Dalkia Scotland in driving continuous improvement in procurement best practice.
Aims and Objectives
- Identify, manage, and deliver procurement deals that meet or exceed tender assumptions of ‘Better Buying’ within each live project.
- Interface with Dalkia UK and divisional buyers to share best practices and improve procurement performance.
- Provide reporting as required by Dalkia Scotland and Dalkia Group on procurement performance.
- Deliver financial targets set by the Dalkia Scotland Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with other departments across Dalkia Scotland and Dalkia UK to drive best practice in sustainability, HSEQ, digitalisation, and governance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement tender process for strategic category deals, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Lead the Dalkia Scotland procurement team, supporting business targets and staff development.
- Negotiate and manage project procurement deals to optimise value and performance.
- Work closely with Dalkia UK Procurement to align strategic priorities and share best practices.
- Support continuous improvement across key areas including sustainability and digitalisation.
- Provide consolidated reporting on procurement activity.
- Ensure compliance with Dalkia UK and Group procurement governance and policies.
- Identify supply chain opportunities to add value to the business.
- Review category spend and develop business cases for strategic procurement initiatives.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in Procurement Management, including change management and transformation.
- Proven experience managing procurement teams and staff development.
- Ability to manage complex procurement contracts and portfolios.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience leading cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.
- Strategic thinking with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deputise for the Procurement Director as needed.
Desirable:
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
