About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee QSHE Advisor to join our team in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart or develop your career in Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) management within a leading technical and energy services business.
You will play a key role in supporting our operational teams, promoting a culture of safety and environmental excellence, and helping us maintain our high standards across a range of engineering and facilities management contracts.
Key Responsibilities

Support QSHE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement preventative actions

Assist in developing and maintaining QSHE systems, risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work processes
-
Monitor the implementation of QSHE objectives and produce performance reports
-
Help investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective actions
-
Contribute to the delivery of QSHE training and awareness initiatives

Support the upkeep of QSHE certifications, accreditations, and online compliance portals
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
-
Some experience in a health and safety-related role
-
NEBOSH National Certificate (or willingness to work towards it)
-
Strong understanding of UK HSEQ legislation and management systems
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-
A proactive mindset with attention to detail and a desire to learn
Desirable:

Experience in training design and delivery
-
Understanding of environmental management
-
Strong organisational and influencing skills
Working Relationships
Internal:

Regular contact with QSHE team, operational staff, managers, and directors
External:
-
Liaison with clients, suppliers, and external certification bodies
