Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, provide project management for CCLBA’s Tax Certificate Program. Responsible for identifying, organizing, and directing the acquisition of thousands of tax certificates from the Cook County Treasurer. Responsible for managing all tax certificates processed through system. Develops strategies for acquiring properties and creates a pipeline for Acquisitions to work from.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and
  • Four (4) years in utilizing Geographical Information Systems or directly related experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and /or experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in urban or regional planning, urban planning and policy, real estate, or a related field.

    *Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by either the World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

    • Extensive knowledge of urban planning, housing and/or community development.
    • Ability to run GIS analyses on various data involving housing, transportation, public education, green space or related data.
    • Ability to manage property or real estate data with an understanding of property transaction processes.
    • Thorough knowledge of the interoperability between multiple hardware and software environments.
    • Ability to manage the installation, configuration and deployment of software programs and patches.
    • Ability to write SQL queries and assist with SQL server administration.
    • Ability to develop standards and compliance guidelines for the implementation of processes, procedures and databases.

    Physical Requirements

    Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
